Mrs. MaryJane Armitage
Who am I? I am a BEd graduate from the University of Lethbridge with a major in Biology and a minor in music. I enjoy teaching all subjects but language arts is my love! I have experience teaching in every grade from 1-9 in both the public and private systems. Due to my husband’s work we have lived in multiple places making the Calgary Board of Education the third board to employ me. My husband of 20 years supports me in all I do. While my children were young I stayed home and tutored students and had a home based business. My daughter is 15 and my son 11. Their after school activities keep us all busy. We value our time together and love to travel, walk, eat, and laugh with each other. We embrace new experiences and the life lessons they teach us. I look forward to a fantastic year with your child, learning! |
Mr. Nathan deBoer
A little about who I am. A graduate of the University of Calgary with a BA and BEd I have been teaching for 11 years. Having taught every grade from 1-6, Louis Riel School is the 4th school that I have been involved with. Additional to classroom responsibilities, I work as an Associate Instructor with the Alberta's Teacher Association (ATA) leading professional development, tutor elementary students and work summers with Hollander Concrete . I am supported by my beautiful wife and 4 young children (ages 7yrs, 5yrs, 3yrs and 1 yrs old). When I am not playing in Fishcreek Park, riding bikes or in the backyard with the kids, I am working with my hands. Out in the garage woodworking, tackling the next home reno project or in the garden getting dirty, I love to build and create. |
